At Halloween, the residents of Black Gale gather for a dinner party. As the only nine people living there, they’ve become close friends as well as neighbours.
They eat, drink and laugh. They play games and take photographs. But those photographs will be the last record of any of them.
Because by the next morning, the whole village has vanished.
With no bodies, no evidence and no clues, the mystery of what happened at Black Gale remains unsolved two and a half years on. But then the families of the missing turn to investigator David Raker – and their obsession becomes his.
What secrets were the neighbours keeping from their families – and from each other?
Were they really everything they seemed to be?
I was hooked with this tale from the cover to the last page.
An abandoned village.. nine missing people and no clues. What a riveting thrill for fans of this genre.
No One Home is brilliantly written, and I loved the suspense. It is dark and twisty, and although I did guess the outcome it by no means spoiled the read.
David Raker is a phenomenal character, I enjoyed the pace and the characters all have something to offer the story.
Set into two timelines, there is murder and mystery, and the plot weaves smoothly. You get a lot of story for your money, and while this is book 10 in the series.. I had no clue!!.. it is a good standalone book. I am however going to go back and catch up with the Raker series, as his backstory seems quite thrilling.
