Knitted Baby Mitts is part of the ’20 to Make’ book series published by Search Press books
This is a fabulous little book with 20 amazing mitten patterns for babies and toddlers.
I absolutely adored all of them, and deciding which ones to make first was a problem.
From 0 -12 mths, these easy knits are colourful, fun and amazing. I loved the Strawberry mitts and the Owls are quirky and just delightful
Each Mitt pattern is easy to follow, each size guide is given and a chart is added for the picture pattern. (sometimes called Intarsia..meaning picture)
A Knowledge of knitting is recommended, but included in this book is a knitting know-how. The mittens range in ability level so I am sure a beginner could start with a simple pattern and advance quite quickly.
Sian Brown is an expert knitwear designer and her talent and skill shows in these wonderful designs.
I love them all and will get them all knitted for some lucky little one.
I decided to make the ‘Anchor’ mitts for this review
In traditional red, white and blue these little mitts did not take long at all.
The pattern is easy to follow as the instructions are simple and a picture chart is included.
In just a couple of hours I completed a pair of mitts in the first size.
The first size are just simple mitts, all other sizes have a thumb attached.
Happy knitting x
