My Husbands Wife Jane Corry

When lawyer Lily marries Ed, she’s determined to make a fresh start. To leave the secrets of the past behind.

But then she meets Joe. A convicted murderer who Lily is strangely drawn to. Who she will soon be willing to risk anything for.

But is he really innocent?

And who is she to judge?

I wish that when a book reviewer says ‘Go and buy this book’, that that will enough.

Starting with an announcement of a stabbing, My Husbands Wife takes the reader on journey that see almost EVERY character as conniving and deceitful that I have never known in any other  novel………. Even the good ones are bad.

From the start people tell lies. They tell them to save the other persons feelings, but mostly they tell them to save themselves from being hurt and being found out.

Jane Corry covers topics such as Aspergers, murder and selfishness and boy, do they make an interesting read.

Lily,a lawyer is asked to cover a case where Joe has been accused of murdering his girlfriend, by scalding her to death in a bathtub. And it is this meeting, along with the arrival of Carla that sets the next 15 years of Lily’s life on a roller-coaster of change, upset and revenge.

My Husbands Wife has ‘Bestseller’ written all over it. It is a stylish and taut thriller that twist and turns in a way the reader doesn’t expect.

It is gripping to the point that when the at the end the truth is revealed, the reader is left wondering who in the world can be really trusted. We all know people have secrets but the characters in this novel push the boundaries of moral integrity.

I really got involved with Corrys debut and such brilliance in a first novel only makes me excited for her next offering.. I for one cannot wait.
