BOOKOUTURE FORTNIGHT Fairytale Beginnings Holly Martin

Hopeless romantic Milly Rose has had her fair share of heartbreak. Obsessed with all things Disney, she refuses to give up on finding her Prince Charming – he’s out there somewhere, isn’t he?

When Milly is given a job to investigate the origins of a historical building in the village of Clover’s Rest, she’s not sure what to expect. What she discovers takes her breath away – a beautiful real life Cinderella castle, complete with turrets, a magnificent drawbridge AND a very handsome owner…Cameron Heartstone.

As Milly and Cameron begin to unearth the secrets of Clover Castle, they can’t ignore the intense chemistry building between them. But they’ve both been hurt badly before. Can they take a big leap of faith and find their own happily-ever-after?

Fairytale Beginnings is not my usual read. So I didn’t think I would enjoy it as much as I did.

Milly and ‘Dick’, Milly’s battered old Triumph TR2 are headed to Clovers Rest, when ‘Dick’died. Milly works for Castle Heritage and when she comes across Clover Castle she is absolutely entranced. The fact that the handsome Cameron is around is not wasted on Milly and he soon becomes her Prince.

Clovers Rest is an odd little village with peculiar people and.. ghosts.

Fairytale Beginnings is just delightful to read. Full of charm, romance and is thoroughly entertaining. It has a touch of sparkle that even the hard-hearted will simply melt. The descriptions are fabulous and I quite quickly got lost in the tale and fell in love with Clover, Milly and the Heartstone family.

Holly Martin is brilliant at what she does and with laughs abounding and a few tears she is now ‘up there’ with my favourite authors.

This book is one for the ‘girlies’. Enjoy.
